ABOUT THIS PRINT
“Back Verandah Family” was inspired by a lady I visited whose back veranda was a regular gathering place for a family of kookaburras as she would often feed them.
Here I have painted a mother kookaburra perched protectively beside her little one, surrounded by delicate blossoms which grow on my own back veranda. Living on a property, I am fortunate to regularly see and hear kookaburras, and their distinctive laughter continues to inspire my art as I paint in my studio.
Through its calming colours and atmospheric light, Back Verandah Family celebrates the connection between parent and child, the beauty of Australian wildlife, and the simple joy of sharing our everyday spaces with these much-loved native birds.
This listing is for a high quality art Print, made from the original painting. All my paintings are first created in my sunroom/art studio where I get lots of natural light, a rural outlook and I can keep an eye on my chickens and sheep out the window at the same time.  
FUN FACTS
- Size of print - A3 (29.7cm x 42cm) - Note: Because original painting is a bit more square shaped than rectangle, when printed it doesn't fill the full length of A3 page - still looks fantastic, just a slightly bigger white border on 2 sides.

Prints are made to order - if you are located in Australia you would normally receive it within about 5 work days, but can sometimes take up to two weeks before you receive it if you have elected Free Shipping.
